1. Our Zero-Trust Philosophy

At EZWorth, we believe that your financial history and holdings should remain entirely private. We have architected our software so that we cannot see, store, or sell your financial data. We maintain a zero permanent database state model for all transactions, balances, and institutions.

2. What We Collect and Why

Unlike standard financial applications, we collect the bare minimum of data necessary to authenticate you and manage your purchases:

  • Email Address: Identifies you and receives passwordless login links.
  • Stripe Customer Info: To manage your Day Pass credits and payments.

We do not collect, store, or log your financial institution names, account names or balances, credentials, or net worth values in our databases.

3. Brief and Ephemeral Processing

When you request a balance sync by uploading your encrypted spreadsheet and submitting your password:

  • Your spreadsheet and password are transmitted securely over HTTPS.
  • Your spreadsheet is briefly decrypted, and:
    • The SimpleFIN Access Token is read and used to fetch balance updates.
    • Fetched balance updates are added and the spreadsheet is re-encrypted.
  • Your updated encrypted spreadsheet is then downloaded to your browser.
  • All files and data used in this processing are then immediately deleted.

4. Third-Party Integrations

We leverage two trusted services to handle specialized tasks:

  • SimpleFIN Bridge: Serves as our read-only bank data aggregator. Your SimpleFIN access token is stored directly within your locally kept spreadsheet, never on our servers.
  • Stripe: Processes payment details and Day Pass credit balances. Stripe handles all financial card data in compliance with PCI standards.

5. Deleting Your Data

Because we do not store any of your financial records, there is nothing for us to delete.
